The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale is a local government authority in Western Australia located approximately 45km from the Perth CBD that offers a range of services to approximately 38,000 residents. The Shire has four critical operational areas: development services, corporate services, community development and infrastructure services. The structure of the local government comprises two parts: the Shire is served by the administration, who manage the divisions and staff of the Shire’s critical operations. The second part is that the administration is led by a Shire president and Councillors elected by the community through local government elections conducted by the State Government.
