About Business SJ

Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale

Business SJ is a fast-growing small business networking group based in the shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale in Western Australia.

We offer our members regular opportunities to share ideas, market their business and most importantly, develop meaningful relationships with other local companies in the Serpentine Jarrahdale area and beyond.

Business SJ is a local touchpoint for businesses to reach out, ask for assistance, connect with the broader business community, and facilitate quality workshops and training seminars within the region.

Business SJ was launched in July 2017 by the Community Resource Centre (CRC) in response to a growing need for a local business group. The group formed in the Serpentine Jarrahdale shire to help support one another and grow the small business community. Upon becoming a member, you were invited to various networking opportunities within the local area.

A new direction
In late 2018, the new committee decided that the group was ready to spread its wings and fly solo. In January 2019, the group separated from the SJ CRC and became separate not-for-profit incorporation. This had the blessing of the CRC board.

The move, a new invigorated committee, and the creation of a new strategic plan have seen Business SJ thrive. Business SJ Inc. is growing with a continually growing membership base and a solid social media presence.

Slowly but steadily, we’re fast establishing ourselves as a critical local resource for local small businesses. We offer great value to our membership, such as networking events, educational workshops and business showcase opportunities. Business SJ works with government bodies, small business hubs and the business community within the SJ Shire and beyond.
